Would you like to help SCE?

We have just the way!

Sharp Creek Elementary is a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) School. Students earn PBIS rewards points every day for positive choices. Every 9 weeks, students are given the opportunity to spend their points at our PBIS Store. The time has come to restock our store for our 600+ babies. We would like to offer our students a variety of games, toys, puzzles, and snacks to choose from. We know that it truly takes a village, and our school is surrounded by the most amazing community. We would greatly appreciate any donations from our list. One purchase can make the biggest difference in the life of a child! Thank you so much!

Tolbert named principal at Sharp Creek Elementary

Robert Tolbert was named principal at Sharp Creek Elementary School for next school year on March 21 by the Carroll County Board of Education. The move was one of a number of personnel actions taken as the Carroll County School System prepares for the 2024-25 school year.

Tolbert began his career in education in 2013 and has taught at both Carroll County Schools and Carrollton City Schools. Tolbert has served as an assistant principal since 2019, first at Providence Elementary and most recently at Sand Hill Elementary.

“Mr. Tolbert has proven himself as an assistant principal, and we know he will make a great leader for Sharp Creek,” Superintendent Scott Cowart said. “We are looking for leaders who understand that our real purpose is positively changing lives and that preparing students for success after graduation begins very early.”

Robert Tolbert
Tolbert holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of West Georgia and is enrolled there now in the educational leadership specialist degree program. Tolbert and his wife Ashley have a son and a daughter.

Great news! Carroll County School System's Transportation Department is transitioning to a new Bus Information application called MY RIDE K-12.  Parents and students will be able to download this Application to their cell phones, so they have more accurate pickup and delivery estimated times under normal daily operations. Additionally, if there is an unexpected delay, MY RIDE K-12 allows Transportation to send out messages specifically to the riders and their families. We believe that MY RIDE K-12 offers overall faster and more improved communication.

The MY RIDE K-12 application will replace Notify Me as of March 1, 2024. You may access the application via internet at https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/ or you may download the MY RIDE K-12 application, Please see the attached PARENT USER GUIDES for download and use of our application.  To register your student on the app you will need to enter the following information:
 Student ID Number
Student Date of Birth
Primary Emergency Contact Name
We appreciate your partnership as we continue to find ways to provide premier service to all Carroll County families.
