Lexia: Lexia is an online reading program that is tailored to the individual student. During the digital learning days, I would recommend students using Lexia for 20 minutes a day. The goal at the end of the week is for the students to earn 12 units.

Greetings! I am Mrs. Sarah Gunter and I am a special education teacher at Sharp Creek Elementary.

Education:

I graduated high school in 2014 from Hillgrove High School in Cobb County. I moved to Carrollton to attend the University of West Georgia. In 2018, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. I then started my career here at Sharp Creek in the fall of 2018.

Background:

This is my second year as a special education teacher and both have been spent here at the Creek! I love working with my students. I enjoy meeting the students where they are and helping them to make progress. I love watching the students grow and seeing that moment where the material clicks. I currently am a Bowdon resident and live with my husband and 2 guinea pigs, who are our class pets! I love to spend time with my husband and our families.
