Bio

Welcome to Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane!

My name is Leslie Warren, and I am so excited to be your teacher! This is my thirteenth year of teaching, and my seventeenth year in education (I was a parapro for 4 years while going to school to get my degree). I have two very wonderful parents with whom I am very close.  My mother is also a teacher, and has been such an inspiration to me my entire life.   I have two nephews, and both have me wrapped around their little fingers! I LOVE being "Aunt L"!  I love to sing and read...one of my favorite pastimes is getting lost in the world of literature. I love all things Mary Poppins, and Julie Andrews is my favorite actress and vocalist of all time. My favorite books are Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, the Harry Potter series, and anything written by Charles Martin and Nicholas Sparks.  I love movies (I especially love Marvel movies! #TeamCap), music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  I am on a journey of health and fitness, as well.  In May 2015, I began working with a personal trainer weekly, and am becoming the best me that I can be.  I absolutely LOVE Zumba, and became a certified instructor in October 2016.   I am an active member of Southern Hills at City Station and am on the Worship Team and Hospitality Team.

My favorite place to visit is the beach.  My heroes are my Daddy, and Ron Clark, a well-known educator who has his own academy in Atlanta. I've helped 3 former students get into his academy, and I could not be more proud of them!  I enjoy traveling, and my favorite places I have been are England, Austria, and Switzerland.  I would love to visit Ireland, Scotland, and  Italy someday soon.  I love to watch documentaries and historical fiction on television. I really love This is Us, Sherlock, Expedition Unknown, Poldark, and The Big Bang Theory! Teaching and children are my two passions in life, and I feel so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach. Children are our most valuable and precious commodity, and my goal is to teach, inspire, and make a lifelong impact on my students' lives.  My favorite aspect of teaching is receiving birthday invitations, sports, recital, and performance schedules, and graduation announcements- I believe in educating the whole child, and developing lifelong relationships with my students and their families. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!

Once a Miss Warren Baby, ALWAYS a Miss Warren Baby!
