Sharp Creek Elementary School is one of 24 schools that make up the Carroll County School System. The Carroll County School District is primarily a rural district situated approximately 50 miles from Atlanta, Georgia. The district is comprised of five regular high schools, six middle schools, twelve elementary schools, a charter college and career academy, and an alternative program.

Sharp Creek Elementary School is a public Pre‐Kindergarten through Fifth grade school. It is located in a very rural section of northern Carroll County. The school opened in a new facility during the 1999‐2000 school year.

The school is named after the Sharp family who settled in this area in the late 1830’s after President Jackson moved the Creek Indians in 1836.
