Welcome to Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane with Miss Warren!

My name is Leslie Warren, and I am so excited to be your child's third grade math and social studies teacher! This is my eighteenth year of teaching, and my twenty-second year in education (I was a parapro for 4 years while going to school to get my degree). I have two very wonderful parents with whom I am very close.  My mother recently retired after over thirty years in education, and has been such an inspiration to me my entire life.   I have two nephews and one of my favorite roles in life is to be their "Aunt L"!

I love to sing and read. One of my favorite pastimes is getting lost in the world of literature. I love all things Mary Poppins, and Dame Julie Andrews is my favorite actress and vocalist of all time! In December 2019, I was blessed with the amazing opportunity to see Dame Julie Andrews in person, and it was a lifelong dream come true!  My favorite books are Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, The Diary of Anne Frank, the Harry Potter series, and anything written by Charles Martin or Nicholas Sparks.  I love movies, especially Marvel movies, musicals, biopics ,  and historical fiction. I  also greatly enjoy music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  I am on a journey of health and fitness, as well.  In May 2015, I began working with a personal trainer weekly, and am becoming the best me that I can be.  I absolutely LOVE Zumba, and became a certified instructor in October 2016.

My favorite place to visit is the beach, but I also love the mountains! My heroes are my Daddy, my oldest and lifelong friend and Veteran, Sion, my late grandmother, and  Ron Clark, a well-known educator who has his own academy in Atlanta. I enjoy traveling, and my favorite destinations I have been to are England, Austria, and Switzerland.  I would love to visit Ireland, Scotland, and  Italy someday soon.  I love to watch documentaries and historical fiction on television. My favorite shows of all time are FRIENDS, Jeopardy,  and The Big Bang Theory.  I'm also a big history buff, and I really enjoy learning about the Titanic and World War II.  I love all things musical, as well.  You will find me singing or smiling the majority of the time.  I also mentor young girls and love helping to make a positive impact on their lives.  My secret ambition in life is to do voiceovers for Disney!

Teaching and children are my two biggest passions in life, and I feel so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach. My goal is to teach, inspire, and make a lifelong impact on my students' lives.  My favorite aspect of teaching is receiving birthday invitations, sports, recital and performance schedules, and graduation announcements. I believe in educating the whole child, and developing lifelong relationships with my students and their families. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!

Once a Miss Warren Baby, ALWAYS a Miss Warren Baby!
