Greetings! I'm Kelli Bullock the EIP reading teacher. I've been at Sharp Creek for 14 years and counting.  I'm so thrilled to be included in every grade level reading plan.  I teach phonics, reading comprehension, decoding, summarizing, and many other reading elements.  I love the SRA program and utilize it in every grade level.  This approach to teaching reading is scripted and therefore predictable for struggling readers who need extra support.  I'm excited every day when I get my groups and read with them.  Watching them grow in their vocabulary and abilities is so rewarding.

A little about me:

I love to watch Christmas movies: funny, sad, .....all are about my favorite time of the year.  I even watch reruns during the summer!  I'm an avid singer.  I love to play parts in the Carroll County Community Theater whenever I can find the time.  I was a vocal performance major before I found my true love, teaching. I love to decorate my home...I'm a frequent flyer in Hobby Lobby.  I hate doing laundry, but I love dressing up.  My motto is get up, dress up, show up.  When I get to school every day I'm smiling and caffeinated and ready to see my sweet kiddo's read.

I put myself through college after becoming a single mom.  I worked my way through and times were tough!  But I draw from those experiences every day.  Working a job, raising a child alone, and going to school full time helped me put my life into perspective and set goals that were attainable.  I help the students I serve with those same kinds of goals...set it, work for it, keep your eye on the prize, and never give up!

I love working with the staff here at Sharp Creek.  They keep me going through thick and thin.  They are truly the wind beneath my wings.

Drama Club:  Please learn your lines!  Practice in front of the mirrow every day.  Project your voice by looking up.  Use facial expressions that match what the lines are saying.  Remember, the audience will be watching you tell the story of The Wright Brothers.  Right!  Write!  and Wright!  You should have at least Scenes 1-3 MEMORIZED by the time we return!  Love to you all.
